FOR THE WEEK OF

Sunday, October 18, 2026
2 Corinthians 5:11-21

God has not only given us new life in Him,
but He has made us ambassadors for Him.

Introduction:
When we follow Jesus and share His message, we change how we see the world
and ourselves.

Starting Out:
If you could be a U.S. ambassador, what country would you choose and why?

Following up:
How did you invest in your oikos this week? Did you see any dividends?

2 Corinthians 5:11-21:
1. Do you agree with Paul’s use of the word “persuade” in verse 11? Is there a
difference between persuading and arguing?
2. What does Paul mean by “one has died for all, therefore all have died”? (v.14)
3. What is the biggest difference between your old life without Jesus and your
new life with him? (v.17)
4. What do you think it means to be an ambassador? (v.20) Why do you think
Paul chose that word?
5. When you think of God’s righteousness, what comes to mind? How does understanding
His saving action impact how you think about verse 21?

Taking It Home:
6. What would it look like to reframe the sharing of your faith with others around God
and His love for them?
7. Do you feel like you have “died” to the power of sin in your life? How might this
feeling influence how you share the news of Jesus’s victory over sin and death?
8. How can you be an ambassador for Christ this week?
9. What’s one situation in your home, work, or personal life where you could act
more like Jesus?

Emphasis on Oikos:
10. Reaching your oikos requires taking initiative. What is one thing you can do this week
to effectively communicate God’s love to someone in your oikos?
