Galatians 2:1-10

From the beginning, the Apostles fought to protect one
clear truth: salvation comes through Jesus alone.

Introduction:
Human rules, traditions, or achievements cannot add anything to what Christ
already accomplished on the cross. Living all for Jesus means trusting that He is
truly is enough.
Starting Out:
If a non-Christian asked you what the point of the Church is, how would you
respond?
Following up:
Mission report: did you share the Gospel with anyone in your Oikos this week?
Galatians 2:1-10:
1. What stands out to you the most in this passage?
2. How long has it been since Paul visited the apostles in Jerusalem? (v.1)
3. Why did Paul go to meet with them? (v.2)
4. What “freedom” do we have in Christ? (v.4)
5. How do you think the false teachers were trying to make people slaves? (v.4)
6. Why was it so important for Paul to preserve the Gospel? (v.5)
7. What happened when Paul finally met with the apostles? (v.7-9)
8. Why do you think the apostles wanted Paul to focus his ministry on Gentiles?
(v.9)
9. What was the one requirement the apostles had for Paul? (v.10)
Taking It Home:
10. There is a difference between being set free and actually living like you’re set free.
Are you truly living out the Gospel in your life, or do you still look for rules to
follow?
11. Are there any divisions or tensions in your life? How can embracing the Gospel
bring freedom and unity in this area?
Emphasis on Oikos:
12. Why do you think the Gospel is spreading faster in areas of the world that are
hostile to the Gospel? How can we bring that mindset to reaching our Oikos?
