Galatians 1:11-24

The Gospel is more than just forgiveness of sin; it is
transformational, life-changing power.

Introduction:
When we surrender our past to Christ, He can redeem our story and use it for His
glory.
Starting Out:
When it comes to relationships, do you believe everyone deserves a second chance,
or are you more “one and done” if someone makes a mistake?
Following up:
Did you share the Gospel with anyone in your Oikos this week?
Galatians 1:11-24:
1. What immediately grabs your attention in this passage?
2. What does Paul want the Galatians to know about the Gospel? (v.11-12)
3. What do you think is Paul’s point in sharing his personal story? (v.13-21)
4. What did Paul’s passion for Jewish traditions lead him to do? (v.13-14)
5. When does Paul say that God had a plan for his life? (v.15)
6. What was Paul’s new mission? (v.16)
7. What did Paul do after his conversion? Where did he go, and why do you think
he didn’t go back to Jerusalem to consult with Jewish leaders? (v.16-17)
8. What did people say about Paul in verse 23?
9. What was the result of people witnessing Paul’s transformation? (v.24)
Taking It Home:
10. How has your life changed because of knowing Christ?
11. How much more would your life change if your identity and reputation were truly
built on the name of Jesus?
12. Is there anything from your past that makes it hard for you to feel worthy of
serving God? How does the Gospel impact those feelings?
Emphasis on Oikos:
13. Jesus is always on mission. Are you? How can you reach your Oikos with the
Gospel this week?
