At The Chapel, we aspire to be not just a church with small groups, but a church of small groups. Here are some reasons we believe so strongly in this ministry and why you should consider joining a Growth Group:

Grow in Your Faith: Learn about God in the company of other people whose life experience and spiritual development will compliment your perspective and give you greater insight. God’s ways and thoughts are higher than ours but studying His word alongside others gives us insight into who God is and what his agenda is both for our world and for our lives.

Find Community: The first human relationship was created between Adam and Eve because God saw that it was not good for man to be alone. While Growth Groups are different than marriage, the principal remains true: we were never meant to do life alone. Plugging into a Growth Group gives you an opportunity to cultivate meaningful friendships while you fellowship, study, and pray.

Find New Ways to Serve: Twice a year Growth Groups take on a service project. Some groups collect supplies for local ministries, others volunteer together to pack shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Through this, Growth Group members have an opportunity to bring the love of Jesus to their communities.

Invest in Others: The pattern God gives us for showing love is by giving sacrificially. John 3:16 tells us that because God loved the world, He gave His precious son. God created people in His image, and we (like God) love best when we’re giving ourselves to others. The community we build in Growth Groups gives you an opportunity to love as God created us to love.
