Have you wrecked your life? Let Jesus fix you up:“I am making everything new!”
Gotten lost? Ask Jesus to lead you to new life with God:“I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
Broken down? Come to Jesus and He will give you his peace:“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead to show us God’s love and lead us back to Him. Here’s how you can start following Him. It’s as basic as learning the ABCs.
Admit that you’re lost.
For many folks this is hard to do, but it’s where we all need to start. All of us are sinners before God our Creator. All of us fall short of how God expects us to live: we hurt ourselves, hurt others, and offend Him by what we do, say, and think. None of us is right in God’s sight, and our sin separates us from Him and his love. We’re helpless to fix problem, but Jesus can.
Believe Jesus can bring you back to God.
Jesus is ready, willing, and able to fix the problem of your sin. He died on the cross in your place and rose from the dead to demonstrate God’s love for you and to make your forgiveness and acceptance with God possible. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to God the Father except through Him.
Choose Jesus to lead your life.
Choosing Jesus as your Leader is more than just agreeing with Him or liking Him. It means you’re trusting Him alone for your forgiveness and acceptance with God. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Here’s a suggested way you can pray to tell Jesus you’re choosing Him to lead your life.
“Dear Jesus, I want to know You and follow You, but I admit that I’m lost because of my sin. I believe that you love me, and that you died for me and rose from the dead. Please come and rule over my life; please come and lead me back to God. I choose you, Lord Jesus, to be my Supreme Leader. Help me follow you. Amen.”
If you have prayed this prayer, let us know. Better yet, come and visit one of our campuses soon. We’d love to help you get to know Jesus better and what it means to follow Him on the road of life and enjoy his love each day.
