We don’t mind sounding cheesy by saying, “Jesus for President,” because Jesus is the Supreme Leader we all need. His platform is far better than the empty promises of other candidates and parties.

Jesus guarantees his unconditional love, full forgiveness, and life with Him forever because He died for our sins and rose from the dead. One day soon Jesus will come back to make his platform permanent. Will you be ready to meet Him?

Admit things are broken.

For many folks this is hard to do, but it’s where we all need to start. Let’s admit that this world is broken. Disease, disasters, and death are all around us. Relationships are also broken as witnessed by the wars, violence, and crime we see in the news every day. On a smaller but just as tragic scale, families are broken by divorce, abuse, and neglect. All of this is because I’m broken, and so are you. Each of us is a sinner before God our Creator and our relationship with Him is broken. We have hurt ourselves and others, and have offended God by what we do, say, and think. All of us have sinned and fall short of God’s glory; none of us is right in his sight. We’re helpless to fix our brokenness, but Jesus can.

Believe Jesus can fix what’s broken.

The good news about making Jesus the President of our lives is that He ready, willing, and able to fix the brokenness around us and in us. Jesus proved that He loves you and me by dying for us to rescue and reconcile us to God. Jesus rose from the dead and is alive today so He can fix our broken lives and reconcile us to God. Jesus is coming back soon to rule as King over all the nations, and He will mend what is broken environmentally, socially, and spiritually with true liberty and justice for all. Jesus can make us brand new and fill our lives with his love, life, and hope. Will you choose to follow his lead?

Choose Jesus to lead your life and mend the brokenness.

When we follow Jesus, He rescues us from sin and reconciles us to God. Choosing Jesus as our Leader is more than just agreeing with Him or liking Him. It means we’re trusting Him alone for our forgiveness and acceptance with God. Here’s a suggested way you can pray to tell Jesus you’re choosing Him to lead your life.

“Dear Jesus, I admit that my life is broken because of my sin. I can’t fix it; only you can. I believe that you love me, and that you died for me and rose from the dead. Please come and rule over my life. I choose you, Lord Jesus, to be my Supreme Leader. Help me follow you. Amen.”
