Galatians 3:1-29

The law only reveals our need for salvation, It cannot deliver it.

Introduction:
Only Jesus can fulfill the promise of the law and bring us into a right relationship
with God.
Starting Out:
What would you say is your greatest achievement in life?
Following up:
Spreading the Gospel is as important as staying true to the Gospel? Did you spread
the Gospel to anyone in your Oikos this week?
Galatians 3:1-29:
1. What very important question does Paul ask in verse 2?
2. How were the Galatians attempting to be “perfected by the flesh? (v.3)
3. Why does Paul bring up Abraham in verses 6-9?
4. How was Abraham “declared righteous” with God? HINT: See Genesis 15:6
5. How have all the nations been blessed through Abraham? (v.8,14)
6. What does Paul mean when he says, “Scripture imprisoned everything”? (v.22)
7. What do verses 26-29 say about our standing with God?
Taking It Home:
8. If Paul wrote you a letter, what foolishness would he call you out on?
9. As a Christian, have you found that working to please Christ has
led to a sense of freedom or a sense of imprisonment?
10. How has embracing the Gospel changed your life?
11. How could intentionally focusing on anchoring yourself in the truth that you are
an adopted child of God change your life this week?
12. What would a healthy balance of observing the law and resting in faith look like
in your life?
Emphasis on Oikos:
13. Are you confident you accurately understand the Gospel, and are you truly
prepared to share it with anyone in your Oikos whenever there’s an opening?
