President of the Elder Board
Jim and his wife Carol live in Littlestown. They have three children—Ethan (wife Jessica, and grandson Wilder and granddaughter Fern), Rebecca (husband Bryan and granddaughter Mia), Aaron (wife Keba and granddaughters Harper, Simone and Ines). Jim is a retired Public School Mathematics and Gifted Teacher (Littlestown High School and Susquehannock High School). He currently teaches Math and Sciences at Adams County Christian Academy and coaches Girls and Boys Tennis at Bermudian Springs High School. He’s also a Pampered Chef Consultant.
When Jim and Carol moved to Littlestown in 1982, they joined the Chapel. He believes there are several halmarks of Littlestown Chapel: faithfulness to the Word of God, lack of Gossip and Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Jim is president of the elder board. Along with Rob Friel, Jim helps to oversee the Mentorship Ministry. He is also responsible for having new members interviewed prior to membership. He has served with the worship team in the past. He is currently a Growth Group Leader and he teaches in Kids’ Church.
For fun, Jim likes playing tennis, wood-working, reading and playing a variety of instruments in various musical groups (flute, piccolo, clarinet, saxophone and trumpet).
Senior Pastor & Elder
Scott and his wife Dawn live in Hanover. They have 5 adult children and 7 grandchildren.
Scott has been the Senior Pastor at Littlestown Chapel since 1996. He is grateful for the atmosphere of love and acceptance at the Chapel and the desire folks possess to study God’s Word and live by it. As an Elder, Scott provides direct oversight of the pastoral staff. He also encourages the vision action teams. He currently serves along with Dawn as co-leader of the Alpha Growth Group.
For fun, Scott enjoys biking with Dawn and friends, hiking/backpacking, baseball and reading for pleasure.
Assistant Pastor & Elder
Josh and his wife Amy live in Hanover. They have three kids—Brie, Josi, and Levi.
Josh grew up at the Chapel. His family started attending in 1987. When he graduated in 2003, he started working at the Chapel. He loves the passion for community at the Chapel. People want to know you and be known. He has never felt alone in life’s journey. As an Elder, Josh oversees the Church Planting team. At the Chapel, he serves as the Assistant Pastor and leads our Student Ministry, Ignition.
For fun, Josh enjoys disc golf, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and biking.
Dave and his wife Sarah live in Littlestown. They have 6 children—Emmy, Nathan, Alice, Sean, Julia and Lainey. He is the COO of CTRL Systems, Inc. in Westminster, MD. They design and manufacture diagnostic equipment and software for fault detection and diagnostics of mechanical systems.
Dave and his family started attending the Chapel in July of 2018. He loves the the Christ-centered preaching, the welcoming atmosphere, and authenticity of the people to name a few. Being at the Chappel has drawn him out of his comfort zone and helped him to examine his understading of scriptue, and how to apply it to his life. As an Elder, Dave assits on the Church Plant Planning Team and the Finance Team. He also serves on the Tech Team.
For fun, Dave likes most things tech—from fixing a broken laptop to designing and printing things on his 3D printer. He enjoys taking the family and dogs camping for long weekends and working on various DIY projects around the house or for friends.
Rob and his wife Carlyn live in Hanover. They have four children—Jonah, Evan, Audra and Zachary. He is the School District Central Office Administrator for South Western School District. He is the Director of Curriculum Instruction and Assessment.
Rob first attended the Chapel from 1997 until 2001 when he and his family moved to Pittsburgh. They returned to the area in 2017 and have been attending ever since. Rob loves that the Chapel has an unashamed committment to preaching God’s word as truth, and holding to all the Bible says about our relationship with Christ. As an Elder, Rob oversees the discipleship part of the vision, specifically facilitating and planning for the Mentorship Ministry along with Pastor Scott and Jim Greene. He serves in Children’s Ministry, including monthly teaching in Power Source, VBS planning and volunteering, plus other children’s ministry events as they emerge.
Rob loves watching fantasy movies, specifically Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, running, camping (especially campfires and spending time with Carlyn and our kids) and playing strategy games, (such as Settlers of Catan). They are always looking for people to play!
John and his wife Kelly live in Hanover. He serves on the Outreach Team.
Brian and his wife Michelle live in Westminister, MD. As an Elder, he oversees the Growth Group Ministry with Dan Davis. He also serves as a Growth Group Leader.
